WATCH: Hurricane Michael slams Florida; ‘time for evacuating has come and gone’

Hurricane Michael, classified as a category 4 storm, began its bombardment of the Florida Panhandle on Wednesday morning. A day earlier, Gov. Rick Scott urged locals to evacuate, saying, “this storm can kill you.” While about 375,000 people have cleared out, “the time for evacuating along the coast has come and gone. First responders will not be able to come out in the middle of the storm,” Scott tweeted early Wednesday. “If you chose to stay in an evacuation zone, you must SEEK REFUGE IMMEDIATELY.”
