Barghouti caught eating during fake hunger strike

Arch-terrorist and popular Palestinian leader Marwan Barghouti, who claimed to be on a hunger strike and inspired other prisoners to follow suit, was caught on film eating while sitting on his toilet seat.

In solitary confinement in an Israeli prison, Palestinian arch-terrorist Marwan Barghouti, serving multiple life sentences for multiple acts of terror and the murder of several innocent Israelis, claimed to be on a hunger strike, demanding better conditions.

Revered as a hero by the Palestinian people, he inspired other prisoners with blood on their hands – but he was caught in the act, obviously unaware that he was being filmed. He can be seen sneaking food into the lavatory, sitting on the toilet and eating, and then washing up – apparently to remove the evidence.

“The man who led terror attacks against women and children is now hiding in his cell and breaking the fake strike he claims to lead,” Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon stated Sunday at The Jerusalem Post conference in New York.

“This is yet another example of how this prisoners strike is just a media stunt which seeks to glorify terrorists with blood on their hands,” Danon said.

Barghouti was elected last December to first spot in Fatah, the Palestinian Authority’s ruling party, and remains the most popular among all nationalist and Islamist leaders.

“As I said from the very beginning, this hunger strike was never about the conditions of the convicted terrorists, which meet international standards. It is about advancing Marwan Barghouti’s political ambitions to replace Abu Mazen,” Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan stated.

“Barghouti is a murderer and hypocrite who urged his fellow prisoners to strike and suffer while he ate behind their back,” Erdan said. “Just like he lied to the world when he wrote in The New York Times that he decided to strike in order to protest ill-treatment, he lied to the Palestinian public when he claimed to be striking. Israel will not give in to extortion and pressure from terrorists.”
