Isn’t it nice and “friendly” for the Ayatollah to send Israelis a special message in Hebrew?

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, 84, the Supreme Leader of Iran tweeted a message in Hebrew to Israelis on X/Twitter Wednesday, condemning Israel for its involvement in the Gaza war and warning that Israeli “crimes” in Gaza will not be forgotten.

The Hebrew tweet read: “The crimes of the Zionist entity will not be forgotten. Even after the disappearance of this entity from the face of the earth, these crimes and the murder of thousands of children and women will be recorded in books.”

In 2009, the Ayatollah promised to “support and help any nations or groups fighting against the Zionist regime,” and infamously vowed in 2015 that “Israel will not exist in 25 years.”

Khamenei has lauded Hamas for its October 7th invasion and massacres of Israelis, while vilifying Israel for its counter-terror campaign in the Gaza Strip.

According to a Reuters investigation, Khamenei is said to control a financial empire of about $95 billion, built largely on seized funds and properties. He lives in a compound of 50 buildings with 500 military and security personnel, and is said to have 100 horses and six palaces.

According to the Iran Human Rights NGO, 7,292 people have been executed by the repressive Iranian government since 2010. The Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, remarked that Iran was carrying out executions at “an alarming rate.”

Three weeks ago, Mohsen Saravani, 24, was hanged in Iran for suspicion of spying for Israel’s Mossad (CIA equivalent). Earlier in December, three other men and a woman suspected of collaborating with the Mossad were hanged, with others sentenced to ten years in jail.
