Danon talked about Iran’s “coalition of terrorists and how it advances Iran’s expansionist ambitions.”In informal remarks to the media before his talk, Danon said, “In Syria alone, [Iran] invests $4 billion dollars every year to help the Assad regime, and to establish a base of operations from which to strike at Israel, and to provide support to Hezbollah in Lebanon. Iran gives $1 billion in aid to its Shiite proxy. With this money, Hezbollah builds terror tunnels into Israel.”“We just recently uncovered a sixth tunnel beneath our northern border,” Danon said, adding that Iran also supports Hamas and Islamic Jihad on Israel’s southern border with the Gaza Strip to the tune of $100 million a year. “With this money Hamas digs attack tunnels into Israel, manufactures rockets, opens terror summer camps, and instigates violent riots along our border,” Danon said.Read Iran declares its 'duty to defend itself' against Israeli strikes but doesn't threaten response Fourth military frontDanon later told the Security Council that Iran “is now trying to infiltrate Judea and Samaria.
