The Hamas terror organization took aim at the Trump administration on Wednesday, accusing the US of engaging in a “direct partnership” with Israel amid retaliatory strikes by the IDF following deadly Hamas attacks in Gaza.

On Tuesday, Hamas terrorists attacked IDF soldiers in the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah, killing 37-year-old reservist Yona Efraim Feldbaum.

The Israeli military responded with targeted strikes across the Gaza Strip, which the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry claimed killed 104 people.

According to a statement by the IDF Wednesday afternoon, the strikes targeted dozens of Hamas terrorists in Gaza, including members of the elite Nukhba Force who participated in the October 7 massacres.

Tuesday’s attack by Hamas came after a string of other violations of the ceasefire, including a deadly missile attack on IDF forces in southern Gaza last Sunday.

President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance both downplayed the violence Tuesday, emphasizing that the ceasefire remained in effect, while acknowledging Israel’s right to respond with force to the killing of the army reservist.

Hamas responded to the administration’s comments, accusing the White House of bias in its handling of the truce.

In a statement released Wednesday afternoon, Hamas blamed Israel for the escalation in Gaza.

“Hamas affirms that the occupation bears the full responsibility for this dangerous escalation, along with its field and political consequences, and for attempting to sabotage Trump’s plan and the ceasefire agreement,” the terror group said.

Lashing out at the Trump administration, Hamas said the US was guilty of a “direct partnership” in the renewed fighting in Gaza.

“The positions of the US administration, biased in favor of the occupation, constitute a direct partnership in shedding the blood of our children and women and a direct encouragement for the continuation of the aggression.”

Despite the deadly Hamas attack Tuesday, Israel’s military announced Wednesday morning that it had halted its reprisal strikes and was again observing the ceasefire in Gaza.

“In keeping with the instructions of the political echelon, and following a series of major strikes during which dozens of terror targets and terrorists were attacked, the IDF has resumed its adherence to the truce, following its violation by the Hamas terror organization.”
