David Duke praised Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) last week for her attacks on Israel and its supporters which have been widely construed as anti-Semitic by both sides of the political aisle.

Duke, a former KKK Grand Wizard and Louisiana Congressman, known to most as a neo-Nazi, said in a March 7 podcast posted on his website that he was “elated” by the focus on “Jewish power and the Jewish elite” brought on by Omar.

“By defiance to Z.O.G. Ilhan Omar is NOW the most important Member of the U.S. Congress!” Mr. Duke wrote on his site, an acronym for “Zionist Occupation Government,” a term anti-Semites use to refer to the U.S. government, which they believe is secretly controlled by Jews.

According to the podcast episode’s description on the website, Duke and co-host Eric Striker “heaped praise on Ilhan Omar (D-New Somalia) for being the one person in Congress willing to notice AIPAC and the ‘dual’ loyalty of many (((members of Congresss))).”

Surrounding names with triple brackets is code used by anti-Semites to identify people or entities that they believe are secretly controlled by Jews.

“Ilhan Omar is winning. Her doubling down on her critiques and her defiance against the media. Her ability to use social media and her grassroots left-wing support to resist the Zionists is actually quite remarkable and a lesson for all of us,” Striker said in the podcast.

“She has everyone from white nationalist fans to communist fans to Muslim fans because of this,” he said.

Duke said, “This 100-pound Muslim woman, as far as I’m concerned, is the most important… at this moment … the most important person to our eventual liberation and the survival of our race than any other member of Congress.”

“She deserves our accolades more than any other member because she’s talking about the real issue that is the source of our continued existence as a people, the future of our children, our rights, our freedoms, everything, and whether we lose them. It’s all about overthrowing this Jewish elite, this Jewish tyranny,” Duke said.

“And therefore she is more valuable to white people and all other Americans – 98 percent who are non-Jewish Americans. She’s more valuable to the freedom of our people and the future of our country than any other single member of Congress,” he said.

Omar has been in the news for the last month due to her repeated use of classic anti-Semitic tropes suggesting Jews control the corridors of power with money, paying politicians to support Israel. Already known for making anti-Semitic comments, Omar tweeted on Feb. 10 her now infamous comment that “It’s all about the Benjamins baby,” a reference to the $100 bill featuring Benjamin Franklin.

The jab was directed against Republican House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who vowed to “take action” against Omar if the Democratic majority did not do so first concerning earlier anti-Semitic remarks she had made, among them a 2012 Tweet that had come to light in which she said Israel had “hypnotized the world.”

Omar was insinuating that Rep. McCarthy was in the pay of the Israel lobby.

In the podcast, Duke and Striker accused Jews of undermining the American family and spreading pornography – including to Iran and Arabs in Judea and Samaria. Striker also defended the Nazis’ euthanasia program.

Duke praised Striker later in the podcast, saying “One of the reasons I really love about having you on, Eric, is because of any young person I’m dealing with and talking to publicly who’s fighting for our people, our heritage and true human rights in the world, your depth of reading and knowledge is so extensive…”

According to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, “The Euthanasia Program was Nazi Germany’s first program of mass murder. It predated the genocide of European Jewry (the Holocaust) by approximately two years. The program was one of many radical eugenic measures which aimed to restore the racial “integrity” of the German nation.

“It aimed to eliminate what eugenicists and their supporters considered ‘life unworthy of life’: those individuals who — they believed—because of severe psychiatric, neurological, or physical disabilities represented both a genetic and a financial burden on German society and the state.”
