Israeli forces crack down on Palestinian arms production

Palestinian terrorists continue to try and produce weapons to use against Israeli forces and civilians.

Israeli security forces conducted massive counter–terrorism operations in the Jenin and Hebron areas late Sunday night, focusing their efforts on curbing Palestinian production and trafficking of illegal weapons.

The forces shut sown two weapons production plants in the Jenin area and seized four handguns, cartridges, ammunition and weapons parts.

In the Hebron area, Israeli forces shut down one munitions plant.

In the Gush Etzion area, forces seized one Karl-Gustav machine pistol.

In related news, IDF forces arrested 19 Palestinians wanted in connection with terrorism activity, most of them members of Hamas.

Since the beginning of 2016, Israeli forces have shut down more than 30 weapons production plants in the Judea and Samaria regions and have seized more than 50 machines and over 300 weapons.

The IDF pointed out that since the beginning of the year, over 30 Palestinian terror attacks have been committed using firearms.

Israeli forces have arrested more than 150 suspects tied to the production and selling of illegal weapons, used in many cases against Israel’s civilians.
