Palestinian terrorist shot while attacking IDF soldiers

Palestinian terrorists are working relentlessly to take every opportunity to attack Israeli civilians and soldiers.

A Palestinian terrorist who attempted to stab IDF soldiers in the Palestinian town of Hawara, in Samaria, on Wednesday was shot and wounded by the soldiers.

The terrorist attempted to stab the soldiers, who were on routine security detail, with a screwdriver. The forces responded and shot him, seriously wounding him.

No soldiers were harmed in the attack.

The terrorist was treated by Israeli medics and evacuated to an Israeli hospital.

Palestinian sources named the terrorist as Mohammed Ammar, of Tul Karem.

Hawara has been the site of many Palestinian terrorist attacks.

In related news, Israeli forces conducted counter-terror operations late Tuesday night throughout Judea and Samaria and arrested 24 Palestinians wanted in connection with acts of terrorism.

Earlier in the evening, Palestinian terrorists threw pipe bombs at Rachel’s Tomb, a Jewish holy site on the outskirts of Bethlehem. One woman was treated for shock and one car was damaged by the blast.

These incidents were the latest in a long series of Palestinian terror attacks which have plagued Israelis over the course of more than a year, claiming the lives of 41 victims and wounding over 550.
