Hamas sentences 3 to death for allegedly spying for Israel

Hamas has 10 individuals on death row.

Hamas military courts in Gaza have sentenced three Palestinians to death by hanging for allegedly spying for Israel, and they upheld the sentences of three others.

Sunday’s verdicts raise the number of people on death row to 10, a number likely to increase as others are appealing their death sentences.

Hamas, an Islamic terror group which violently seized power in Gaza in 2007, has repeatedly been condemned for multiple violations. Human rights groups have called on Hamas to place a moratorium on the death penalty in Gaza, saying these verdicts do not serve justice and the rule of law.
