“We need to be not only praying for him; we need to support him, in my opinion, in every possible way,” said Bachmann of Trump.

Former U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) said in a recent interview that she has “never seen a more biblical president” than President Donald Trump.

During her interview with a conservative Christian radio program called “Understanding the Times” over the weekend, Bachmann said, “We could go on [about] what the president has done with standing for righteousness in so many areas.”

The former U.S. presidential candidate is a frequent guest on the program. Bachmann decided last year not to run for the U.S. Senate after retiring from the House of Representatives in 2014.

She praised Trump’s decision to allow persecuted Christians from other countries to enter the United States.

She cited the Trump administration’s move to ban most transgender people from serving in the U.S. military. The Obama administration had lifted a previous ban on transgender service in 2016.

“He has so impressed me with what he’s done, and we haven’t even talked about Israel,” said Bachmann.

Furthermore, Trump “has done more to advance the pro-life movement and the pro-life cause than any other president has ever done,” she said.

Bachmann said that the president has had the “courage and the fortitude” to stand up “where other Republicans wouldn’t dare to stand up.”

Therefore, said Bachmann, “we need to be not only praying for him; we need to support him, in my opinion, in every possible way that we can. He is highly biblical, and I would say to your listeners, we will in all likelihood never see a more godly, biblical president again in our lifetime.”

Bachmann, who has served as a member of Trump’s evangelical advisory board in the past, had declared that Trump’s presidential victory in 2016 was “proof positive of what the Lord did.”
