Muslim terror suspect captured by New Jersey police

Ahmad Khan Rahami, the Afghan-born Muslim suspected of carrying out the New York and New Jersey bombings over the weekend, is in police custody in Linden, New Jersey.

Security forces had launched a manhunt Monday for Rahami, a 28-year-old Afghan-born American.

The suspect was captured after a shootout with police, NBC television reported.

On Sunday, New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo initially said there was no evidence suggesting that the bombings were related to international terrorism, but he appeared to reconsider the next day.
