Defiant British PM urges citizens to resume business as usual

Any attempt to destroy British values through terror is “doomed to failure,” British Prime Minister Theresa May stated in the wake of a deadly terror attack in London.

A defiant Prime Minister Theresa May issued a statement on the “sick and depraved terrorist attack” in London Wednesday afternoon, urging citizens to move on with their regular activities.

“Tomorrow morning, Parliament will meet as normal,” she stated. “We will all move forward together, never giving in to terror and never allowing the voices of hate and evil to drive us apart,” she stated.

“The location of this attack was no accident,” the British leader added. “The terrorists chose to strike at the heart of our capital city, where people of all nationalities, religions and cultures come together to celebrate the values of liberty, democracy and freedom of speech…

“But let me make it clear today, as I have had cause to do before: any attempt to defeat those values through violence and terror is doomed to failure.”

May also praised the “exceptional bravery of our police and security services who risk their lives to keep us safe.”

Terrorist Not Yet Identified

The identity of the terrorist has not yet been released, although photos of him at the scene of attack have emerged.
