It’s unclear if there are casualties.The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) says an Israeli warplane on Wednesday targeted a building in the southern town of Baath, on the edge of the Israeli Golan Heights.The Observatory didn’t say how it knew it was an Israeli warplane. The Qatar based Al-Jazeera news site had a similar report.Israeli warplanes and artillery have struck southern Syria in the past in response to fire from Syria, or against terrorism networks.Israel has previously been blamed for incidents it was not involved in, usually by a group that wanted to conceal its association with the incident.The Military Media of Lebanon’s Hezbollah group claimed that the blast was caused by two rockets fired by members of al-Qaida’s affiliate in Syrian, the Nusra Front, one of the Islamic rebel groups fighting in the country’s civil war.Later, Hezbollah’s Al-Manar TV said Syrian government troops retaliated, hitting a Nusra Front vehicle from which the rockets were fired.Read WATCH: The failure of UN Resolution 1701The IDF, as usual, has remained silent on the incident.By: AP and World Israel News Staff HezbollahIAFNusra FrontSOHRSyriaSyrian Civil War
