Marilyn Monroe’s Jewish prayer book sells in exciting auction

Marilyn Monroe’s prayer book sold on Monday for $21,000.

Monroe, famous for playing comic “blonde bombshell” characters in the 1950s, converted to Judaism in 1956 to marry Jewish-American playwright Arthur Miller. She took her Judaism seriously even after divorcing Miller.

The cream-colored edition of The Form of Daily Prayers: According to the Custom of the German and Polish Jews, was published in 1922.
