WATCH: Left-wing protester calls Israeli minister a ‘Nazi’

Bennett was booed at a left-wing peace conference, where he was accused of being a Nazi after presenting his own strategy towards a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Addressing a one-day peace conference in Tel Aviv sponsored by the left-wing Ha’aretz daily, Education Minister Naftali Bennett, head of the Bayit Yehudi (Jewish Home) party, discussed his strategy towards a solution to the conflict with the Palestinians, including his conviction that in any peace deal, Jerusalem must remain the united capital of the Jewish state.

“The Left doesn’t have a monopoly over peace just like the Right doesn’t have a monopoly over patriotism,” Bennett told the crowd, according to The Jerusalem Post. “I want peace just as much as you do.”

After the speech, the Post reported, he was heckled and booed to the point that President Reuven Rivlin called for calm. One woman performed a ‘Heil Hitler’ salute while another began screaming at Bennett, calling him a Nazi, among other accusations.
