The Israeli security forces also discovered a stash of illegal weapons in Hebron, which included several firearms and significant amounts of ammunition. “The troops seized a Carlo weapon, a pistol and ammunition. The weapons and ammunition were transferred to security forces,” an IDF spokesperson said on Wednesday.During the past year, Palestinian terrorists, including Hamas operatives, have carried out deadly drive-by shootings using illegal weapons.These attacks include a shooting in December in which Palestinian terrorists fired on four Israelis at a bus stop near Givat Assaf in the Binyamin region, just north of Jerusalem. Both parents were injured and are still recovering.In addition to taking suspects into custody and confiscating weapons, tens of thousands of Israeli shekels were also seized in a village called Surif during the counter-terror operation on Tuesday night.
