France targets Israeli activists over Gaza aid blockades, calling it ‘complicity in genocide’

One of the French Israeli nationals ordered in for questioning called the move “antisemitic madness.”

A French judge has ordered the questioning of two French-Israeli citizens over possible complicity in genocide for their efforts to block humanitarian aid trucks from entering Gaza, Le Monde reported Monday.

The pair are right-wing activists Nili Kupfer-Nauri, a lawyer and founder of the Israel Is Forever group, and Rachel Toitou, a spokeswoman for the Order 9 movement.

The groups argued during the war that allowing humanitarian aid into the Strip only helped prolong the fighting as it strengthened Hamas, which repeatedly stole the goods, as proved by the Israeli authorities.

They called on supporters to physically block aid trucks at various crossings, actions that sometimes led to confrontations with police or IDF soldiers and resulted in arrests for civil, nonviolent disobedience after refusing orders to disperse.

Palestinian organizations such as Al-Haq, Al-Mezan and the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) filed complaints against them last spring, accusing the women of inciting to and being complicit in genocide for these actions.

The groups also alleged that the activists “dehumanized” Gaza residents in public statements made in 2024 and 2025 while promoting the blockades.

According to NGO Monitor, all three complainant organizations are deeply involved in anti-Israel lawfare campaigns, and several of their officials and employees have documented ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a US-designated foreign terrorist organization.

The pair was ordered to appear for questioning in the summer, but both say they will not travel to France.

“I have no intention of going to French prisons, neither in police custody nor in any other way,” Kupfer-Nauri announced on X, calling the criminal proceedings against her “antisemitic madness.”

She added that three colleagues from the French branch of Israel Is Forever have already been questioned.

Toitou told Le Monde that she believes the French judicial system is politically biased.

“I noticed that it responds quickly to a complaint from a radical pro-Palestinian organization, while complaints filed against statements by French members of Parliament that incited to terrorism remain unhandled,” she said.

In a separate post on X, Toitou questioned how “a peaceful demonstration with the Israeli flag against a terrorist organization that seized humanitarian aid, diverted it and sold it at exorbitant prices to Gazans” could be considered a crime.

“France is Iran!” she wrote. “I will always fight to defend the truth, my people and my country.”
