A Palestinian terrorist was killed in Kfar Malik, northeast of Ramallah, early Sunday morning as he attempted to attack IDF soldiers.

The terrorist, identified as Abdallah Iyad Ghanayem, 22, attempted to throw a firebomb at an IDF jeep on patrol. The jeep veered and turned over, and subsequently hit the assailant.

“The driver was startled and swerved, hitting the man,” an IDF spokesperson stated after the incident, adding that the military would launch an investigation.

The IDF said Israeli forces later entered the village to try and provide medical care for the terrorist, but he had already died from his wounds. Palestinians rioted in the village after the incident.

Local Palestinians are presenting a different story, saying that Ghanayem was on his way to work at a chicken farm when the IDF jeep intentionally ran him down and crushed him against a wall.

This is the second Palestinian terrorist killed in the past week in clashes with the IDF. Another died early Wednesday morning in the Jenin area while attempting to throw an explosive device at an IDF unit. The Israeli forces identified and shot him before he could attack. He was reportedly wounded by the gunfire, but killed when the bomb he was carrying exploded in his hands.
