A rocket fired from Gaza fell in Netiv Ha’asara, a community in the northwestern Negev, shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday night. A house was damaged in the incident, but no injuries were reported.

A second rocket landed in an open field.

The head of the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council said that residents of the  southern district “expected security forces to respond forcefully and make it clear to the terrorists that Israel is determined to put a stop to rocket fire (from Gaza). We will not allow this situation to become routine.”

Tension has been escalating in recent weeks, with an increase in missile attacks from Gaza aimed at Israel. A rocket aimed at Israel from the Gaza Strip on Friday missed its target and fell on the home of a Hamas terrorist.
