Palestinian terrorists fired two rockets at Israel’s civilian population in two separate launchings in the span of a few hours early Monday morning. The rockets exploded in an open space in the Eshkol region, causing no injuries or damage.

The rocket launchings did not prompt the “red alert” siren system to go off since the rockets landed in open areas away from population centers.

Terrorists, over the past year, have been firing sporadic rocket fire at Israel at a rate of one rocket a week.

The last attack occurred last Tuesday evening when Gazan terrorists fired one rocket. The rocket fell short of its target, exploding in an open space, probably within Gaza’s territory, also causing no injuries or damage.

Israeli Air Force (IAF) aircraft attacked Hamas terror infrastructure in the Gaza Strip in response to the attack.

No terror organization took responsibility for the attack, but the sharp increase in rocket fire from the Strip over recent months has mostly been the work of an ISIS affiliate operating out of Gaza.

Israel ultimately holds Hamas responsible for any aggression originating from within the Gaza Strip since the Islamist terror group seized control of the Strip in 2007.

Since the beginning of 2015, terrorists have fired some 50 rockets at Israeli targets from Gaza. Several exploded in Israel, with some exploding within the Strip or landing in open spaces.
