By Vered Weiss, World Israel NewsAfter the death of her husband hostage Gadi Haggai (72) was announced on December 22, it has been confirmed that Judith Weinstein (70) who was thought to have been a hostage in Gaza was murdered by Hamas terrorists on October 7th.Both of their bodies are being held by Hamas.The couple, both American citizens, are survived by two daughters two sons, and seven grandchildren. On the morning of October 7th, the Nir Oz residents were taking a walk when they heard missiles. The last time they were seen by their families was during a 40-second video on a group chat during which they described the situation and that terrorists had invaded Kibbutz Nir Oz.Their daughter, Iris Weinstein Haggai described the video, “She said they were shot by terrorists on a motorcycle and that my dad was wounded really bad.”She added, “Paramedics tried to send her an ambulance. I want to know if Judy is alive and if she is being held hostage. It’s unbearable not to know.” On the news of Gadi’s death, President Joe Biden said he was “heartbroken by the news.”He added, “We continue to pray for the return of his wife Judy Weinstein. Their daughter joined my meeting with the families of the abductees by phone last week.”He added, “We pray for their four children and seven grandchildren, and mourn together with them this tragic news.
