Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blasts international push for Palestinian statehood as he departs for United Nations and his fourth meeting this year with President Donald Trump.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed Thursday morning to block the establishment of a Palestinian state as he and his wife, Sara, departed for the United States.

In a video statement recorded on the tarmac of Ben Gurion International Airport just before he boarded the Wing of Zion for New York, Netanyahu denounced the international push at the United Nations General Assembly this week to promote unilateral Palestinian statehood.

“I am now leaving, with my wife, for the UN General Assembly and Washington,” Netanyahu said. “At the UN, I will tell our truth – citizens of Israel, the truth of IDF soldiers, of our state.”

“I will condemn those leaders who, instead of condemning the murderers, rapists and burners of children, want to give them a state in the heart of Israel. This will not happen.”

Netanyahu is slated to address the United Nations General Assembly on Friday as part of the UNGA’s annual High-Level Week.

On Monday, he will meet with President Donald Trump at the White House, the fourth meeting between the two leaders in Washington since Trump returned to office in January.

The prime minister said that he will speak with Trump about how to finish the war in Gaza, which has raged for nearly two years, as well as the “opportunities” created by Israeli operations against Iran and Hezbollah.

“In Washington, I will meet – for the fourth time – with President Trump, and I will discuss with him the great opportunities our victories have brought and our need to complete the war objectives: To return all of our hostages, to defeat Hamas and to expand the circle of peace that has occurred for us in the wake of our historic victory in Operation Rising Lion and the other victories that we have achieved,” Netanyahu said.
