WATCH: New York launches shark patrols as sightings increase

In the wake of five verified shark attacks since June off New York beaches and a spike in sightings, New York launched shark patrols. State officials advise people not to swim during dusk, dawn, and nighttime, when sharks feed the most, and to swim in groups so sharks don’t misidentify humans as prey.
