By World Israel News StaffIsraeli government and military officials have pledged to punish Hezbollah for a missile attack that killed 12 children and teens in the Golan Heights on Saturday.At least 12 victims – all under the age of 16, and most of them children – were killed when a missile fired by the Iran-backed terror group struck a soccer field in the Druze town of Majdal Shams in the golan Heights.Dozens of others were wounded and evacuated to medical centers in the northern cities of Tzfat and Haifa.An eleven-year-old, Guevera Ibrahim, is listed as missing. His family has been unable to find him since the blast, with searches of local hospitals failing to locate the boy.The mass casualty event is the deadliest attack on Israeli soil since the October 7th massacres.Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is in Washington for a diplomatic visit to the U.S., said that Israel was gearing up to respond to the deadly srike.“Israel will not let this murderous attack go unanswered and Hezbollah will pay a heavy price for it, a price it has not paid before,” Netanyahu told media outlets.“Saturday’s massacre constitutes the crossing of all red lines by Hezbollah,” said Israel’s Foreign Ministry in a media statement.“This is not an army fighting another army, rather it is a terrorist organization deliberately shooting at civilians,” the release added.“The entire State of Israel is with you in this terrible tragedy,” Defense Minister Yoav Gallant told Dolan Abu Salah, head of the Majdal Shams council, during a visit to the town on Sunday morning.“Hezbollah is responsible for it and they will pay the price.”The tragedy has boosted calls from residents of the north for Israel to launch a decisive military offensive against the terror group. Many have said that the Lebanese state must be held responsible for allowing Hezbollah to operate from its territory.“The children who were murdered are all of our children,” said a resident of Majdal Shams, who did not give their name, to Hebrew-language media.“Lebanon gives a free pass to Hezbollah to do whatever it wants.
