Israel security forces carried out counterterrorism operations throughout Judea and Samaria, during which they confiscated terror funds, arrested wanted Palestinian terrorists and demolished a terrorist’s home

On Saturday night, IDF forces operating in the Palestinian village of Azun in the Jenin area confiscated thousands of shekels in funds meant to bankroll terrorism and three vehicles used to illegally bus Palestinians into Israel.

In other raids, the forces arrested five Palestinians wanted in connection with terrorism.

Early Friday morning, Israeli forces demolished the home of a Palestinian terrorist who murdered Reuven Shmerling, a 70-year-old Israeli, at an industrial zone in the Israeli-Arab town of Kfar Kassem in October.

The IDF said in a statement that it destroyed the home of Muhammad Ziad Aby Al-Roub in the Palestinian village of Kabatiya.

During the attack, Al-Roub and his accomplice Yousef Khaled Mustafa Kamil stabbed Shmerling multiple times in the back, chest, stomach, head, arms and legs. They were arrested days after the attack and are currently standing trial.

A violent riot broke out while IDF forces operated in the village, to which the Israeli forces responded with crowd dispersal ordnance. No Israelis were injured in the incident, the IDF stated.
