Dozens of terror targets struck – IDF airstrikes rock Lebanon, Syria

Israeli airstrikes pounded Hezbollah infrastructure across Lebanon in a sweeping operation targeting weapons facilities and terror hubs.

Israeli airstrikes destroyed dozens of terror targets and infrastructure throughout Lebanon on Monday evening, the Israeli military confirmed in a statement.

The bombing targeted a “Hezbollah strategic weapons production and storage facility” in Lebanon’s Beqaa district, according to the army.

“The IDF identified Hezbollah’s attempts to reestablish presence and operations within the facility,” the statement continued.

The military also said it had struck Hezbollah sites in the Srifa district. Israel said that those terror assets constituted a “blatant violation of the [ceasefire] between Israel and Lebanon.”

“The IDF will continue to operate to remove any threat to the State of Israel and will prevent any attempt by Hezbollah to reestablish its terror capabilities,” the military said.

Lebanese media reported additional strikes in the south of the country, which were apparently carried out by drones.

Videos of explosions in Syria circulated on social media, suggesting that Israel had also attacked there.

However, the IDF did not official confirm that it had struck targets in Syria.

Last Friday, the IDF bombed sites near the Presidential Palace in Damascus, after government-aligned Islamic forces rampaged through a Druze area.

Some 60 Druze were killed in the clashes, and Islamic militants were seen forcibly shaving the beards of Druze men.

Israeli forces evacuated about a dozen wounded Druze and transported them to a hospital in northern hospital for life-saving medical care.

In a statement following the airstrikes, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the attack was a “clear message to the Syrian regime” that Israel would “not allow the deployment of forces south of Damascus or any threat to the Druze community.”

Since longtime Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad was ousted in December 2024, Israel has regularly bombed Syrian military assets and sites, fearing that those weapons could be used against the Jewish State.
