In last year’s ranking, the Technion was placed at 93, with Hebrew University not making the top 100.The world’s top ranking university for both years is Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.According to a Reuters annual survey, in contrast, three Israeli universities placed among the world’s top 100 for innovation for 2017. The analysis ranks institutions of higher learning for advanced science, invention of new technologies and powering of new markets and industries, patents and research paper citations.The top Israeli university innovator is Hebrew University, which came in 82nd place compared to 94th last year.
