WATCH: Trump defies Turkey, protects Kurds fighting to liberate ISIS capital

Trump sends special operators and armored Stryker vehicles to the village of Darbasiyah, a few hundred meters from the Turkish border in northern Syria, a few days after a Turkish airstrike that killed 20 US-backed Kurdish fighters. This is in order to create a buffer between Turkey and the Kurds, who are hoping to liberate Raqqa, the de facto capital of ISIS.
