Sources belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization said that efforts continue in attempting to close in on those responsible for the killing in Gaza City on Friday night of senior Hamas military leader Mazen Fukaha.Fukaha led the armed wing of Hamas, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades. Although the investigation into his murder is ongoing, Hamas is still placing the blame on Israel. As such, Hamas sources said, according to Israel Radio, that the terror organization is preparing to respond not by rocket fire, but rather by “other modes of operation, including in the West Bank and elsewhere.”Moreover, Hamas is also making security arrangements to add extra protection to other senior leaders of the terrorist organization.Sources in Gaza said that Hamas has stepped up its patrols along the border with Israel as well as along the shore in order to prevent anyone involved in the killing from escaping.At the same time, Hamas’ Interior Ministry announced a partial reopening of its side of the Gaza Strip’s Erez Crossing bordering Israel.Read Israeli professor under fire after accusing IDF of 'ethnic cleansing'“From Monday morning, travel through the Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing will be permitted temporarily for some categories,” stated Hamas Interior Ministry spokesman Iyad al-Bozum.Restrictions are still in place on Palestinians leaving Gaza.
