Israeli Border Police officer killed in Jenin terror raid

Nineteen-year-old Shay Germay was in a vehicle damaged by an IED.

An Israeli Border Police officer died of injuries during an overnight counter-terror raid in the Jenin refugee camp, the police announced on Sunday morning.

Nineteen year-old Shay Germay was in a vehicle that was damaged by an improvised explosive device. She and three other Border Police officers injured in the blast were taken to Haifa’s Rambam Hospital. Doctors were unable to save Germay. The other three Border Police officers were in serious, moderate and light condition respectively.

Germay was from the northern city of Karmiel.

During the raid, an aerial drone eliminated six Palestinian terrorists throwing explosives at the Israeli forces.

Since October 7, approximately 2,600 terror suspects have been arrested in Judea and Samaria, of whom approximately 1,300 are affiliated with Hamas.
