Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu published a statement congratulating President-elect Donald Trump on winning the US national elections, expressing hope that the US-Israel alliance will continue to grow in strength.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday congratulated Donald Trump on being elected the 45th President of the United States of America.
“President-elect Trump is a true friend of the State of Israel, and I look forward to working with him to advance security, stability and peace in our region,” Netanyahu said in a statement.
“The ironclad bond between the United States and Israel is rooted in shared values, buttressed by shared interests and driven by a shared destiny,” he continued.
Netanyahu expressed his confidence that Trump and himself will “continue to strengthen the unique alliance between our two countries and bring it to ever greater heights.”
Many of Israel’s politicians also conveyed their good wishes to Trump and the American nation, expressing their hope that a Trump administration will bring a change for the US-Israel relations and the entire Middle East.
