Police have reported a breakthrough in the investigation into the killing on Sunday in Jerusalem’s Armon Hanatziv neighborhood of Tamar and Yehuda Kaduri, 68 and 71, respectively.

Details remained sketchy but according to police, speculation is growing that the killing was a terrorist attack. A suspect was brought to the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court Tuesday on suspicion of murdering the couple.

A gag order remained in effect concerning much of the investigation.

Earlier, it was announced that the investigation included looking into a possible connection between the death of the couple and a stabbing on the same street last Wednesday. In that incident, a teenage girl said she was stabbed by a man as she waited at a bus stop to go to school.

Family and friends gathered Monday night to eulogize Tamar and Yehuda as they were laid to rest. The couple is survived by three children.
