By Lauren Marcus, World Israel News Defense Minister Israel Katz compared Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to Adolf Hitler following a ballistic missile attack on an apartment building Thursday morning, saying that Iran’s Supreme Leaders days are numbered. If the State of Israel and IDF had existed during the Holocaust era, the Jewish State would have sent its military to “eliminate” Hitler, in order to “thwart his plan to annihilate the Jews,” Katz told reporters at the scene of the missile strike in the Tel Aviv suburb of Holon. “Just like that, correspondingly, I see the current situation — Khamenei is the modern Hitler,” Katz continued. “A dictator like Khamenei, who heads a country like Iran and has made the destruction of the State of Israel his declared goal, this horrific goal of destroying Israel, cannot be allowed to continue or materialize,” he added. Katz charged that repeated attacks on Israeli civilian infrastructure and apartment buildings “are not a statistical deviation that can be explained away.” Rather, Katz said, Khamenei is ordering attacks on civilians “as part of the mission to destroy the State of Israel.” The defense minister added that “the IDF has been instructed and knows that to achieve all the objectives [of the war], without question [Khamenei] should no longer continue to exist.” Also on Thursday morning, President Isaac Herzog toured the wreckage of an Israeli hospital struck by Iranian missiles, telling reporters that Israel would rebuild the medical center and “demonstrate resilience.” Noting that Soroka Hospital in Beersheba is a hub of coexistence, where Israelis of all faiths and ethnicities work together and receive medical care, Herzog stressed that the medical center serves as a model for a peaceful, inclusive Middle East. “For the sake of that future, we must fight and we must change reality — and that means delivering a most severe blow to the head of the snake sitting in Tehran. That is the reality,” he said. HolonIsaac HerzogIsrael KatzIsraeli hospitalSoroka Medical Center
