Though her day did not start out well, placing sixth in her individual hoop routine, Ashram showed her determination to be a winner.She won her first gold medal of the event for her ball routine and, a half hour later, the seasoned gymnast won another gold medal for her performance with clubs. The Israeli-born gymnast, who lives in Tel Aviv, is known for her powerful jumps, high leaps and back spiral variations in reverse direction, a skill most rhythmic gymnasts have not mastered.The talented gymnast even has a unique floor move named after her, the “Ashram.” When not competing or training, Ashram works as a secretary for the Israel Defense Forces.She is a contender for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
